During the software phase, we set up every component in your system including devices that won't be installed until they reach the job site. The system is configured to control projectors, media playback devices, screens, lighting, and many other components. The goal is to create a presentation tool that enables simple, one-touch operation of even the most complex systems.
As the system is configured at our facility, your system components are being tested at one of several quality control checkpoints. We identify compatibility issues, hardware defects, and other problems during this phase. When we can identify these complications in our workshop, we can fix them before they reach the field. Resolving issues before they reach the field helps prevent unwanted and unnecessary surprises.
Control systems for complex systems and environments are one of our core competencies; we've been doing them since the early 1970s. We coordinate control of all the devices in a system to greatly simplify operation. Our systems unify independent components to make them work like a single component. Screens come down automatically when projectors turn on. At the same time, a lighting preset is called to dim the fixtures near the screen. The AV receiver is automatically switched to the correct input and a volume preset is loaded. To accomplish all of this, the user must only press the button which corresponds to the source to be used.
Control system hardware will not operate without the development/configuration of control software. This hardware arrives from the manufacturer like a personal computer that doesn't have an installed operating system (e.g.: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, or Unix). A programmer must load code into the hardware before it will connect to system components like media players or a touch panel. Every firm has a different approach to control system software and the technique that is used can have a major impact on how simply and reliably your system works.
System standardization is key to our reliability. Each of our control systems works the same way. As we implement refinements, they are carried through to subsequent systems. When we identify issues with a component in our standard collection, it is simple for us to “roll out” fixes to other systems that use the same devices.
In addition to improving reliability, our standardized systems cut the learning curve for repeat clients. New systems operate nearly identically to systems installed 10 or 20 years before. Once a user understands how to operate one of our systems, he or she can easily operate another whether it"/_imagess in a different room, different building, or different city.
