Construction on Arkansas's second capitol was completed in 1915. Although the building was not yet fully completed, the Arkansas Senate held their first meeting there in 1911.
The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and has undergone renovations several times during its 100+ years.
