Public Bidding

Mandatory proposal and bid requirements can be stressful. Although they provide transparency which is critical for effective governance, these systems can make it more difficult to get the technology you need in a timely manner.

We have worked with public entities since our earliest days. We have helped clients navigate the complex requirements that are sometimes associated with public procurement. Our staff are experienced with these mandates and we stand ready to help our customers with complex purchasing requirements.

The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS)

A new trend in public procurement is cooperative purchasing. Also known as piggy-backing, this type of purchasing allows you to use contracts that have already been bid and awarded by other agencies: you don’t have to start the process from scratch. This gives you the advantages of volume purchasing, reduces administrative costs, secures quick and efficient delivery of goods and services, and connects you with pre-qualified, high-quality vendors.

The TIPS program is free for you to join. To register, visit and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Procurement requirements can vary a great deal. Your organization may be subject to rules and laws at the federal, state, local, and organizational levels. Most entities with legislated purchasing/bidding requirements can participate in the TIPS program. A few of the types of organizations that are typically eligible to participate are listed to the right.
